I'm Richard T. Beard the CEO & Founder of T'sarE! (pronounced: T'zar-E)
It's always been my passion to create stories. Back in middle school I had an overactive imagination and I would create my own stories of cartoons and of video games. One day in the 8th grade I created this story about kids in the future and I thought: “Why not, make this a real cartoon? No, a video game.” And that’s how it all started.

My first video game was Super Mario World. It was fun to control someone by making them run and jump on enemies. I would play the game with my sister but she would only play the water stages over-and-over again. She would ask me “Why do I keep trying to get more levels when all you do is die?” But back then I couldn’t answer, but I think it was because it gave me a sense of accomplishment.

Sadly, my Super Nintendo stop working. I gave up on video games. That was until my 11th birthday when I got my XBOX. My all-time favorite games are Pac-man World 2, Sonic Heroes, Jet Set Radio (Future), Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Just Dance.

Pac-Man World 2—because it was my first 3D video game experience. It had items and secret items that I had to search for, and it every world had a different climate like the forest, the snow mountains, inside the volcano, under the sea, and a haunted island. The instruction booklet for the game also gave a description of the world’s so I could imagination what they would be like.

Sonic Heroes—because it was my first action game. It was also the only game I really wanted. I looked so awesome and cool because all the character were just kids with superpowers. Back then I don’t know how but I didn’t even notice they were animals. All the characters worked together as a team and they all shared the same stages but they were each still unique in some way. Plus this was my first game with voice actors. I was so happy that I didn’t have to read the dialogue.

Jet Set Radio—because it’s was my first game about the unlawful. It was about these high-tech teenagers living in a futuristic Toyko called “Tokyo-To” where they spray graffiti around town. The graffiti was bright, colorful, and most importantly it was art. It taught me to look at things differently, plus it had some great music.

Paper Mario—because it had crazy characters with backstories and it was my first RPG. This game really made me think. There was so much backtracking that I had to figure out where to go and what was next. As for the gameplay: you attack the enemy then the enemy attacks you. It really made you think about strategies.

Just Dance—because music has a story to tell. Every song had dance moves that fix each song perfectly. This game taught me to dance and just have fun and be yourself no matter who is watching. This game cured my stage fright.

These games motivate me to create fun game for others, so they can have to same experiences that I did the first time I played a video game.
